The fireball attack can be anticipated by the appearance of a glowing orange ball in the creatures mouth. The tail whip cannot be anticipated, but if Link stays near the Helmasaur King's head it will miss. It has two main attacks: a tail whip and a fireball attack. It is a large version of the Helmasaur enemy.
The Helmasaur King is a large lizard-like creature. You will be rewarded with a Heart Piece and the First Pendant. Use your remaining Arrows or your sword (if necessary) to finish him off. Staying on the walls will not keep you safe from him. When five of the six Armos Knights are defeated, the final one will turn red and start jumping around the room trying to crush you. To avoid taking damage, try staying in the corners and along the walls where they move less frequently. Make sure you aim well, the arrows are scarce and very important at this point! If you run out, you'll be forced to use your Sword which is far weaker than the Arrows on the Armos Knights and considerably more dangerous. The easiest way to dispatch them is to equip your Bow and Arrow and shoot each of them three times. The six Knights move in preset patterns of circles and lines which can be memorized for easy avoidance. They are six large and strong versions of their smaller cousins, the Armos Statues who surround the outside of the Eastern Palace.
